APOP Prevalence Survey — Join the Effort to Track Pet Obesity
As a nonprofit, we rely on veterinary professionals and organizations around the world to make a lasting impact on pet health.
Why your participation matters
Track real-world trends
Take part in the 2026 Pet Obesity Prevalence Survey, a biennial study that monitors obesity in dogs and cats across clinics worldwide.
Inform care and policy
Your clinic’s data raises awareness, guides future research, and supports better prevention and treatment strategies—improving the lives of pets everywhere.
How it works
Register your clinic or program. We’ll email survey details and timelines as October approaches.
During World Pet Obesity Week, record species, weight, and 1–9 BCS for routine visits. Keep it simple and consistent.
Enter your totals through the APOP survey form. We compile and analyze the results and publish the findings.
